DESCRIPTION

· The STA013 is a fully integrated MPEG Layer III Audio Decoder.

· It decodes Layer III compressed elementary streams as per MPEG 1 and MPEG 2 ISO standards.

· Supports decoding of elementary streams with low sampling rates specified by MPEG 2.5.

· Features a Serial Input Interface for data reception and a PCM Output Interface for digital signal output.

FEATURES

· Supports all MPEG 1 & 2 sampling frequencies and MPEG 2.5 extensions.

· Accepts MPEG 2.5 Layer III elementary compressed bitstream with data rates from 8 Kbit/s to 320 Kbit/s.

· Includes digital volume, bass, and treble control.

· Equipped with a PLL for internal and output PCM clock generation.

· Low power consumption: 85mW at 2.4V.

· Features CRC check and synchronization error detection with software indicators.

· Utilizes low power 3.3V CMOS technology.

· Supports external input clock or built-in industry standard XTAL oscillator.
