DESCRIPTION

· The STA013 is a fully integrated MPEG Layer III Audio Decoder, supporting MPEG 1, MPEG 2, and MPEG 2.5 standards.

· It decodes stereo, mono, or dual channel digital outputs, compatible with common DAC architectures.

· The device features a Serial Input Interface for data reception and a PCM Output Interface for signal output.

FEATURES

· Supports all Layer III features in ISO/IEC 11172-3 and ISO/IEC 13818-3.2.

· Decodes MPEG 2.5 Layer III elementary compressed bitstreams from 8 Kbit/s to 320 Kbit/s.

· Includes digital volume, bass, and treble control.

· Features a PLL for internal and PCM clock generation, and I2C control bus.

· Low power consumption at 85mW with 2.4V supply.

· CRC check and synchronization error detection with software indicators.
