DESCRIPTION

· The STA013 is a fully integrated MPEG Layer III Audio Decoder, supporting MPEG 1, MPEG 2, and MPEG 2.5 standards.

· It decodes stereo, mono, or dual channel digital outputs, adaptable to common DAC architectures via a programmable PCM Output Interface.

FEATURES

· Supports all Layer III features in ISO/IEC 11172-3 (MPEG 1 Audio) and ISO/IEC 13818-3.2 (MPEG 2 Audio).

· Decodes MPEG 2.5 Layer III elementary compressed bitstreams with data rates from 8 Kbit/s to 320 Kbit/s.

· Includes digital volume, bass, and treble controls, and a serial bitstream input interface.

· Features a PLL for internal and output PCM clock generation, and low power consumption of 85mW at 2.4V.

· Equipped with CRC check, synchronization error detection, and I2C control bus.
