DESCRIPTION

· STA2058 is a high-sensitivity baseband chip for the TESEO GPS platform, integrating the STA5620 RF Front-End.

· It features embedded Flash memory, allowing manufacturers to load customized GPS software post-production.

· The chip is suitable for various applications including consumer electronics, handheld devices, and vehicle navigation systems.

FEATURES

· Single chip baseband with 256 KB Flash and 64 KB RAM.

· Equipped with a 66 MHz ARM7TDMI 32-bit processor and high-performance GPS engine.

· Supports SBAS (WAAS and EGNOS) with high sensitivity (-146 dBm acquisition, -159 dBm tracking).

· Offers fast time to first fix: 1s reacquisition, 2.5s hot start, 34s warm start, 39s cold start.

· Provides 2m autonomous accuracy and extensive GPS receiver interfaces including 48 GPIOs, 4 UARTs, 2 SPIs, 2 I2Cs, 2 CANs 2.0, 1 USB 1.1, 1 HDLC, and 4 channels ADC.

· Available in LFBGA144 and LQFP64 lead-free packages, operating from -40°C to 85°C.

APPLICATIONS

· Ideal for consumer electronics, portable navigation devices (PND), in-vehicle navigation, and telematics systems.

· Supports application software development with available SDK boards and evaluation kits.
