DESCRIPTION

· The STMPE16M31PX is a versatile capacitive touchkey controller integrating up to 16 sensitive and noise-tolerant capacitive sensing channels.

· It features eight independent PWM controllers for managing up to 16 LEDs with brightness control, ramping, and blinking capabilities.

· The device supports I2C interface communication up to 400 kHz and is suitable for a wide range of applications without the need for hardware tuning.

FEATURES

· Supports up to 16 capacitive sensor inputs with independent and configurable automatic calibration.

· Proximity sensing capability extends over 3 cm with 15 fF resolution and 512 steps.

· Includes up to 16 general purpose I/Os and 8 PWM controllers, capable of sourcing/sinking 12 mA at 3.3 V VIO.

· Operates at 1.65-1.95 V (VCC) and 2.7-5.5 V (VIO) with low current consumption: 300 µA active, 40 µA sleep, 5 µA hibernate.

· Features 8 kV HBM ESD protection on all sensing pins.
