DESCRIPTION

· The SY10/100EP16U is a high-speed, fully differential ECL Receiver/Driver operating at 2.5/3.3V, capable of processing clock signals up to 3GHz or data patterns up to 2.5Gbps.

· It includes internal pull-down and pull-up resistors for differential input and an integrated voltage reference for AC-coupled input interface and single-ended applications.

· The device operates from a 2.5V ±5% or 3.3V ±10% supply and is guaranteed over the industrial temperature range (–40°C to +85°C).

FEATURES

· Precision 800mV ECL Receiver/Driver with 10K and 100K ECL compatible I/O.

· Guaranteed AC performance: DC-to > 2.5Gbps throughput, 240ps typical propagation delay, and <200ps rise/fall times.

· Ultra-low jitter design with < 0.3ps RMS random jitter.

· Supports PECL and NECL operation with specified voltage ranges.

· Available in 8-pin MLF®, 8-pin MSOP, and 8-pin SOIC packages.

· SONET, Fibre Channel, and Gigabit Ethernet clock and data distribution.
