DESCRIPTION

· The SY88912L is a compact laser driver designed for SONET/SDH applications, supporting data rates up to 3.2Gbps.

· It accepts PECL or CML level data inputs and provides modulation current up to 60mA for FP or DFB lasers.

· Features a 75k Ω pull-down resistor at the /EN input and uses an active low PECL enable signal to control modulation current.

· Operates at up to 3.2Gbps with modulation current up to 60mA.

· Fast rise/fall times of less than 70PS.

· Single 3.3V power supply and programmable laser modulation current.

· Operates in a temperature range from –40°C to 85°C.
