DESCRIPTION

· The TCA 305 and TCA 355 are bipolar ICs designed for proximity switch applications.

· These ICs are available in PG-DSO-8-1, PG-DIP-14-1, and PG-DSO-14-1 packages.

· The TCA 305 and TCA 355 are not recommended for new designs.

FEATURES

· Low open-loop current consumption (IS < 1 mA).

· Low output saturation voltage.

· Reduced temperature dependence of switching distance.

· Higher sensitivity for larger switching distances and lower quality coils.

· Constant switching hysteresis across temperature, supply voltage, and switching distance.

· TCA 305 operates without an external integrating capacitor; external capacitor enhances noise immunity.

· Outputs are temporarily short-circuit proof (10 s to 1 min).

· Outputs disabled when VS < 4.5 V; enabled when oscillator stabilizes (VS min = 5 V).

· Supports higher switching frequencies.

· Pb-free lead plating; RoHS compliant.
