DESCRIPTION

· The TCA 305 and TCA 355 are bipolar ICs designed for proximity switch applications.

· Available in PG-DIP-14-1 and PG-DSO-14-1 packages for TCA 305, and PG-DSO-8-1 for TCA 355.

· Not recommended for new designs as of 02.05.

FEATURES

· Low open-loop current consumption (IS < 1 mA).

· Reduced output saturation voltage.

· Minimal temperature dependence on switching distance, facilitating easier TC compensation.

· Enhanced sensitivity allows for larger switching distances and use of lower quality coils.

· Stable switching hysteresis across temperature, supply voltage, and switching distance.

· TCA 305 operates without an external integrating capacitor; external capacitor improves noise immunity.

· Outputs are temporarily short-circuit proof (10 s to 1 min).

· Outputs disable when VS < 4.5 V and enable upon oscillator stabilization (VS min = 5 V).

· Capable of higher switching frequencies.

· Pb-free lead plating; RoHS compliant.

APPLICATIONS

· Proximity sensing in industrial and consumer electronics.

· Integration in systems requiring stable and sensitive switching mechanisms.

· Use in environments where temperature and voltage fluctuations are common.
