· It supports data transmission rates from 9.6 kbit/s to 4 Mbit/s with a typical link distance of 50 cm.
· It enables mobile phones and PDAs to function as universal remote controls for home appliances.
· The transceiver module includes a pin photodiode, an infrared emitter, and a low-power control IC.
· It features a shutdown mode for very low power consumption and has an I/O voltage related to the supply voltage.
