DESCRIPTION

· The TFDU6103 is a low-power infrared transceiver module compliant with the latest IrDA physical layer standard, supporting data rates up to 4 Mbit/s (FIR) and remote control modes up to 2 MHz.
· It integrates a PIN photodiode, an infrared emitter (IRED), and a low-power CMOS control IC in a single package.
· Available in various package options, including the Baby Face package, suitable for diverse applications and space constraints.
· Features a tri-state output and is floating in shutdown mode with a weak pull-up.

FEATURES

· Operates at a supply voltage of 2.4 V to 5.5 V with an idle current < 3.3 mA and shutdown current < 1 μA.
· Compact surface mount package measuring 9.7 mm x 4.7 mm x 4 mm.
· Operates within a temperature range of -25 °C to 85 °C.
· Transmitter wavelength of 886 nm, compliant with IrDA standards, supporting link distances > 1 m.
· Remote control range typically extends up to 22 m.
· High ESD protection (>1 kV) and latchup resistance (>100 mA).
· EMI immunity > 550 V/m for GSM and other mobile telephone bands.
· Eye safety class 1 compliance (IEC 60825-1, ed. 2001), with controlled LED current and limited on-time.
