Overview

DESCRIPTION

· The TLE9015DQU is a general-purpose iso UART transceiver IC designed for battery systems, facilitating communication between the main host microcontroller and cell supervision ICs connected to the battery module potential.

· It is specifically tailored for Li-Ion battery packs used in HEV, PHEV, BEV, and stationary Li-Ion batteries.

· The IC not only handles physical layer translation but also enables communication of potential errors detected within a cell to the main microcontroller.



FEATURES

· Compatible with ring mode topology.

· Features two UART ports for serial communication to the host microcontroller and two iso UART interfaces for communication with other BMS ICs.

· Supports a data rate of up to 2 Mbit/s for fast communication.

· Offers a fully transparent communication scheme from UART to iso UART.

· Includes integrated internal logic to minimize pin count on the UART side.

· Utilizes a differential current edge-triggered iso UART communication interface for high robustness against external noise.

· Equipped with two external fault inputs (EMM and ERRQ_ext) and a latching error output pin for triggering the external microcontroller.

· Features internal supply monitoring and is a Green Product, compliant with RoHS.

· Multi-cell battery monitoring and balancing systems.

· Designed for Li-ion battery packs in HEV, PHEV, BEV, and 12 V Li-ion batteries.

· Suitable for automotive applications, validated according to AEC-Q100 standards.
