DESCRIPTION

· The TOIM5232 is an endec IC designed for IrDA SIR applications, providing pulse shaping for infrared transceivers.

· It interfaces directly with RS232 ports, converting signals to IrDA-compatible pulses for transmission and stretching received pulses to the correct bit width.

· Operates at bit rates from 2.4 kbit/s to 115.2 kbit/s, using a 3.6864 MHz crystal clock.

· Features low power consumption, with 10 mW in operation and a few microwatts in standby mode.

· Packaged in a compact QFN-20 format, measuring 4 mm x 4 mm x 0.75 mm.
