DESCRIPTION

· The UCCx913 family of negative voltage circuit breakers offers comprehensive power management, hot-swap, and fault handling capabilities.

· It is referenced to the negative input voltage and driven through an external resistor connected to ground, utilizing a current drive mechanism.

· Features an on-board 10-V shunt regulator for protection against excess voltage and as a reference for programming maximum output sourcing current during faults.

· Includes an internal timer for fault management, limiting on-time from less than 0.1% to a maximum of 3%, with duty cycle modulation based on current into the PL pin.

· Fault level is fixed at 50 mV across the current-sense resistor to minimize total dropout.

· Supports controlled current startup with a capacitor on the IMAX pin and includes undervoltage lockout.

· Available in 8-pin SOIC and DIP packages.
