DESCRIPTION
· The UCC3921 family provides complete power management, hot swap, and fault handling capabilities.
· It is referenced to the negative input voltage and powered through an external resistor connected to ground.
· Features an onboard 10V shunt regulator for protection and reference for programming maximum output sourcing current.
· All control functions are integrated and externally programmable, including fault current level, maximum output sourcing current, fault time, mode selection, soft start time, and average power limiting.
· Internal timer limits on time to less than 0.1% to a maximum of 3% duty cycle in constant fault conditions.
