DESCRIPTION

· The VL6524/VS6524 is a compact, low-power VGA resolution CMOS color digital camera module.

· Designed for seamless integration with camera-enabled baseband processors, back-end IC devices, or PDA engines.

FEATURES

· 640x480 active pixels with 3.6 µm pixel size and 1/6 inch optical format.

· RGB Bayer color filter array and integrated 10-bit ADC.

· Advanced digital image processing: defect correction, lens shading correction, demosaic, sharpening, gamma correction, and color space conversion.

· Embedded camera controller for automatic exposure, white balance, black level compensation, flicker cancellation, and flash support.

· Supports up to 30 fps progressive scan with flexible subsampling and cropping.

· Multiple output formats: ITU-R BT.656-4 YUV 4:2:2, RGB 565, RGB 444, and Bayer 10-bit.

· Viewlive feature for dynamic frame adjustments.

· 8-bit parallel video interface with 24 MHz clock and two-wire serial control (I2C).

· On-chip PLL with 6.5 to 26 MHz clock input.

· Power supply options: 2.4V to 3.0V analog, 1.8V or 2.8V I/O, and 3.3V tolerant I/O.

· Integrated power management with low power consumption and ultra-low standby current.

· Dual-element plastic lens with F# 2.8 and ~59° DFOV (VS6524).
