DESCRIPTION

· The VSC7155 is a multimode, user-configurable 18-PHY SAS expander compliant with ANSI T10 SAS 1.0 and 1.1 specifications.
· Designed for edge and fanout expander applications in midrange and enterprise storage environments.
· Features an internal nonblocking cross-bar matrix for active port expansion up to 18 PHYs.
· Supports 1.5Gbps and 3.0Gbps SAS speeds with programmable output preemphasis and input signal equalization.
· Includes an on-board CPU for SMP management and enclosure management functions via I²C, Ethernet, or vendor-specific SMP implementations.
