DESCRIPTION

· The 5B Series is a low-cost, high-performance plug-in signal conditioner designed for industrial applications.

· It features transformer-based isolation and automated surface-mount manufacturing technology.

· Modules are compact, economical, and offer 1500 V rms continuous isolation with +0.05% calibrated accuracy.

· All modules are potted, identical in pin-out and size (2.27” x 2.32” x 0.595”), and can be mixed and matched.

· They are hot-swappable, allowing replacement without disturbing field wiring or power.

· Approved by Factory Mutual (FM) and Canadian Standards Association (CSA) for use in hazardous locations.

FEATURES

· Isolated Frequency Input with amplification, protection, filtering, and isolation.

· Generates a 0 to +5V output proportional to input frequency.

· Model 5B45 accepts full-scale inputs from 500 Hz to 20 kHz; Model 5B46 from 20 kHz to 275 kHz.

· Module circuitry withstands 240V rms at input screw-terminals.

· Complete signal conditioning functions including 240 V rms input protection, filtering, and low drift amplification.

· Excellent common mode rejection and meets industrial transient surge withstand specifications.
