DESCRIPTION

· The A3924 is an N-channel power MOSFET driver designed for automotive applications.

· It controls MOSFETs in a full-bridge (H-bridge) arrangement for high-power inductive loads like brush DC motors, solenoids, and actuators.

· Features a unique charge pump regulator for programmable gate drive voltage, supporting battery voltages down to 7V and reduced gate drive down to 5.5V.

· Utilizes a bootstrap capacitor to provide above-battery supply voltage for N-channel MOSFETs.

· Offers full bridge control via independent logic level inputs or an SPI-compatible serial interface.

· Includes programmable dead time to protect external power MOSFETs from shoot-through.

· Provides integrated diagnostics for internal, system, and power bridge faults, with protection under most short-circuit conditions.

· Diagnostic operation can be verified via the serial interface for safety-critical systems.

· Available in 38-pin eTSSOP (suffix ‘LV’) and 40-terminal eQFN (suffix ‘EV’) packages, both lead-free with 100% matte-tin leadframe plating.
