DESCRIPTION

· The AAS33051 is a 360° angle sensor IC utilizing magnetic circular vertical Hall (CVH) technology for contactless high-resolution angular position measurement.

· It features a system-on-chip (SoC) architecture with a CVH front end, digital signal processing, and multiple output formats including SPI, PWM, and motor commutation or encoder outputs.

· The IC includes on-chip EEPROM for calibration parameter programming and 32-segment linearization to enhance angle accuracy.

· Available in dual-die 24-pin eTSSOP and single-die 14-pin TSSOP packages, it is pin-compatible with the A1339 for easy migration.

FEATURES

· Capable of sensing magnet rotational speeds with 12.5-bit effective resolution at 300 G, with higher resolution achievable at increased field strengths.

· On-chip 32-segment linearization reduces errors from magnet-sensor misalignment and imperfect magnetization.

· Designed as a Safety Element out of Context (SEooC) in compliance with ISO 26262, suitable for safety-critical applications.

· Single-die version meets ASIL B, and dual-die version meets ASIL D requirements when integrated with appropriate system-level controls.
