DESCRIPTION

· The AD7148 is a programmable touch controller designed for single electrode capacitance sensors, enabling functions like buttons, scroll bars, and wheels with only one PCB layer.

· It features an integrated capacitance-to-digital converter (CDC) with on-chip environmental calibration, capable of sensing changes in external sensor capacitance.

· The device includes an I2C-compatible serial interface, an interrupt output, and operates from a 2.6 V to 3.6 V supply, available in a 16-lead, 4 mm × 4 mm LFCSP package.

FEATURES

· Programmable capacitance-to-digital converter with femtofarad (fF) resolution and 8 capacitance sensor inputs.

· Automatic conversion sequencer, on-chip calibration logic, and compensation for environmental changes.

· Low operating current with full power mode at 1 mA and low power mode at 21.5 μA.
