DESCRIPTION

· The AD7741/AD7742 are synchronous voltage-to-frequency converters (VFCs).

· AD7741: Single-channel version in an 8-lead package (SOIC/DIP).

· AD7742: Multichannel version in a 16-lead package (SOIC/DIP).

· No user trimming required for specified performance.

· AD7741: Single buffered input.

· AD7742: Four buffered inputs configurable as two fully-differential or three pseudo-differential inputs.

· On-chip +2.5 V bandgap reference with internal/external reference option.

· AD7741: Single-ended voltage input range from 0 V to REFIN.

· AD7742: Differential voltage input range from –V REF to +V REF.

· Operates from a single +5 V supply, typically consuming 6 mA.

· Power-down feature reduces current consumption to less than 35 mA.
