DESCRIPTION

· The AD8436 is a low-cost, low-power, true RMS-to-DC converter designed for precision measurement of AC waveforms.

· It provides accurate RMS or average rectified values of complex AC signals, including those from switch-mode power supplies and triacs.

· The device operates from single or dual power supplies, ranging from ±2.4 V to ±18 V, and is available in compact 4 mm × 4 mm and 8 mm × 6 mm packages.

· It features a wide dynamic input range, high accuracy, and low power consumption, making it suitable for portable and battery-powered applications.
