DESCRIPTION

· The AFE5805 is a fully integrated 8-channel analog front-end designed for ultrasound systems, emphasizing low power and compact size.

· It includes components such as a low-noise amplifier (LNA), voltage-controlled attenuator (VCA), programmable gain amplifier (PGA), low-pass filter (LPF), and a 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with LVDS outputs.

· The device supports high system integration density, crucial for portable systems, and can operate with internal or external references.

FEATURES

· Ultra-low noise performance: 0.85nV/√Hz in TGC mode and 1.1nV/√Hz in CW mode.

· Low power consumption: 122mW per channel at 40MSPS and 74mW per channel in CW mode.

· LNA with a fixed gain of 20dB and excellent noise and signal handling capabilities.

· VCA with a gain control range of 46dB and PGA gain settings of 20dB, 25dB, 27dB, and 30dB.
