DESCRIPTION

· CAPZero™ IC blocks current flow in X capacitor safety discharge resistors when AC voltage is applied, reducing power loss to less than 5 mW at 230 VAC.

· Automatically discharges X capacitors through discharge resistors when AC is disconnected.

· Simplifies EMI filter design by allowing larger X capacitors, reducing inductive component size without increasing power consumption.

· Designed to meet international safety standards with a worst-case RC time constant of less than 1 second when AC is disconnected.
