DESCRIPTION

· The CAPZero™ family is designed to automatically discharge X capacitors in AC/DC converters, reducing power loss to less than 5 mW at 230 VAC.
· It blocks current through X capacitor discharge resistors when AC voltage is connected and automatically discharges X capacitors when AC is disconnected.
· The IC simplifies EMI filter design by allowing larger X capacitors without increasing power consumption, reducing the need for larger inductive components.
· It meets safety standards with only two terminals and ensures a worst-case RC time constant of less than 1 second when AC is disconnected.
