DESCRIPTION



· The CYP(V)15G0402DXB Quad HOTLink II™ SERDES is a high-speed serial communication solution designed for point-to-point data transfer over optical fiber, balanced, and unbalanced copper transmission lines.

· It operates at signaling speeds ranging from 195 to 1500 MBaud per serial link, with an aggregate throughput of up to 12 Gbps.

· The device features four independent 10-bit channels, each with separate Clock and Data Recovery (CDR), and supports synchronous LVTTL parallel interfaces.

· It is built using 0.25 µ BiCMOS technology and is available in a 256-ball thermally enhanced BGA package, with a Pb-Free option.



FEATURES



· Second-generation HOTLink® technology compliant with multiple standards including Fibre Channel, Gigabit Ethernet (IEEE802.3z), ESCON®, and DVB-ASI.

· CYV15G0402DXB variant specifically complies with SMPTE 259M and SMPTE 292M standards.

· Features include selectable parity check/generate, MultiFrame™ Receive Framer, and optional Phase Align Buffer in the transmit path.

· Differential PECL-compatible serial inputs and outputs, source matched for 50 Ω transmission lines without requiring external resistors.

· Includes JTAG boundary scan, Built-In Self-Test (BIST) for at-speed link testing, and per-channel Link Quality Indicator.

· Low power consumption of 2.5W typical at 3.3V supply.
