DESCRIPTION

· The DS1230Y/AB is a 256k Nonvolatile SRAM designed to replace 32k x 8 volatile static RAM, EEPROM, or Flash memory. It ensures data retention for a minimum of 10 years without external power and automatically protects data during power loss. The device features a lithium energy source that remains disconnected until the first power application, ensuring freshness. It is available in a JEDEC standard 28-pin DIP package and a PowerCap Module (PCM) package, which is directly surface-mountable and includes a replaceable snap-on PowerCap for lithium backup battery.
