DESCRIPTION

· The EMC2102 is an SMBus, closed-loop, RPM-based fan controller/driver with hardware thermal shutdown and reset controller.
· Packaged in a 28-pin, 5x5 QFN lead-free RoHS compliant package.
· Utilizes Beta Compensation and Resistance Error Correction for accurate temperature monitoring.
· Features a closed-loop RPM based Fan Control Algorithm with a 600mA linear fan driver.
· Includes a standalone HW thermal shutdown block configurable in 1°C increments.
· Provides a 5V supply 'power good' function with a threshold of 4.5V.

· Supports 45nm, 65nm, and 90nm CPU Diodes.
· Closed-Loop RPM Based Fan Controller with 2% accuracy.
· Integrated Linear Fan Driver with 600mA drive capability.
· HW Thermal Shutdown with 1°C incremental set points.
· Three Remote Thermal Zones with ±1°C accuracy.
· Resistance Error Correction on thermal diode channels.
· Operates from a single 3.0 - 3.6V supply.
· Software configurable ALERT# signal for diode fault, fan stall, or system warning.
