DESCRIPTION

· The EMC2300 is a fan control device featuring high-frequency PWM and temperature monitoring capabilities. It operates at 3.3V with 5V tolerant input buffers and includes an SMBus 2.0 compliant interface with three slave address options.

FEATURES

· Provides three PWM outputs and four fan tachometer inputs for comprehensive fan control. · Supports programmable automatic fan control based on temperature, compatible with both low and high-frequency PWM fans. · Allows control of one fan from up to three temperature zones and includes fan ramp rate control to reduce acoustic noise. · Features two power-saving modes: continuous or cycling monitoring, and two low power modes: Sleep and Shutdown. · Monitors two remote thermal diodes with ±3°C accuracy and internal ambient temperature. · Includes voltage monitoring for VCC and VCCP with limit comparison and interrupt pins for out-of-limit indications. · Offers an XOR Tree Test Mode and comes in a 16-Pin SSOP lead-free RoHS compliant package.
