DESCRIPTION

· The SMSC EMC6D103 is a fan control device with high-frequency PWM support and hardware monitoring features, operating at 3.3V with 5V tolerant input buffers.

FEATURES

· SMBus 2.0 compliant interface with three slave address options.
· Three PWM outputs and four fan tachometer inputs for fan control.
· Programmable automatic fan control based on temperature, supporting high-frequency 4-wire fans.
· Two power-saving modes: continuous or cycling monitoring, and low power modes: Sleep and Shutdown.
· Monitors two remote thermal diodes with ±3°C accuracy and internal ambient temperature.
· Monitors power supplies (+2.5V, +5V, +12V, Vccp, and VCC) with limit comparison and interrupt pin for out-of-limit indications.
· Includes 5 VID inputs and XOR Tree Test Mode.
· Available in 24-pin SSOP lead-free RoHS compliant packages.
