DESCRIPTION

· The SMSC EMC6W201 is an auto fan control device designed for multi-processor systems, featuring temperature and voltage monitoring capabilities.

FEATURES

· Operates at 3.3V with 5V tolerant input buffers.

· SMBus 2.0 compliant interface with three slave address options.

· Auto-fan control with ProcHot features, including PWM outputs and programmable control based on temperature.

· Monitors up to five remote thermal diodes and internal ambient temperature.

· Voltage monitoring for various power supplies with limit comparison and interrupt capabilities.

· ProcHot input/bi-directional pins and a separate ProcHot output pin.
