· The FAN5404X family comprises I2C-controlled 1.55 A USB-compliant switch-mode chargers with power path operation and USB OTG boost functionality.
· Integrated production test mode supports 4.2 V at up to 2.3 A to the system.
· Features a power path circuit for rapid system startup, disconnecting the battery from the system rail upon VBUS connection.
· Charging parameters and modes are programmable via a 3.4 Mbps I2C Interface.
· Operates at 3 MHz to minimize external passive components size.
· Manages battery charging in three phases: conditioning, constant current, and constant voltage.
· Automatically restarts the charge cycle if the battery voltage drops below a threshold.
· Enters high-impedance mode to prevent battery current leakage when the input source is removed.
· Reports charge status to the host through the I2C port.
· Implements dynamic input voltage control to maintain charging capability from weak adapters.
· Available in a 25-bump, 0.4 mm pitch, WLCSP package.
