DESCRIPTION

· The FDC2x1x is a multi-channel, high-resolution capacitance-to-digital converter designed for capacitive sensing applications.
· It employs a resonant sensing architecture to maintain performance even in noisy environments like fluorescent light.
· The device supports a wide excitation frequency range, enabling flexible system design and reliable sensing of conductive liquids.
· It offers high resolution up to 28 bits and fast sample rates up to 13.3kSPS, suitable for both high-resolution and high-speed applications.
· The large maximum input capacitance of 250nF allows for remote sensor use and environmental change tracking.

· EMI-resistant architecture ensures reliable performance in noisy environments.
· Maximum output rates: 13.3kSPS (FDC2112, FDC2114) and 4.08kSPS (FDC2212, FDC2214).
· Maximum input capacitance: 250nF at 10kHz with 1mH inductor.
· Sensor excitation frequency range: 10kHz to 10MHz.
· Resolution: up to 28 bits; system noise floor: 0.3fF at 100SPS.
· Supply voltage: 2.7V to 3.6V; power consumption: active 2.1mA, sleep mode 35µA, shutdown 200nA.
· Interface: I2C; temperature range: –40°C to +125°C.
