DESCRIPTION

· The GS1524 is a second-generation high-speed bipolar IC for equalizing and restoring signals over 75 Ω coaxial cable at 143Mb/s to 1.485Gb/s.

· Supports SMPTE 292M, SMPTE 344M, and SMPTE 259M standards.

· Optimized for 270Mb/s and 1.485Gb/s performance.

· Features DC restoration for SMPTE pathological test patterns.

· Includes a Cable Length Indicator (CLI) for data rates up to 360Mb/s.

· Voltage programmable mute threshold (MCLADJ) for SMPTE 259M signals.

· CD/MUTE pin indicates mute status and controls mute function.

· Power consumption is typically 265mW at 3.3V.
