DESCRIPTION

· The HCF4532B is a monolithic integrated circuit fabricated using Metal Oxide Semiconductor technology, available in DIP and SOP packages.
· It encodes the highest priority input (D7-D0) to a 3-bit binary code, with D7 being the highest priority and D0 the lowest.
· The chip enable input (EI) inhibits the priority encoder when low, and when high, the binary representation of the highest priority input appears on output lines Q2-Q0.
· The group select line (GS) indicates the presence of priority inputs, and the enable out (EO) is high when no priority inputs are present, disabling lower order stages when any input is high.
