Overview

DESCRIPTION

· The HDC302x is a capacitive-based relative humidity (RH) and temperature sensor.

· It offers high accuracy measurements with a wide supply range (1.62V – 5.5V) and ultra-low power consumption.

· The device is available in a compact 2.5mm × 2.5mm × 0.8mm WSON 8-pin package.

· Both sensors are 100% tested and trimmed on a NIST traceable production setup.

· Offset Error Correction ensures accuracy by compensating for aging, extreme conditions, and contaminants.

· Auto measurement mode and ALERT feature optimize power usage for battery IoT applications.

· Four I2C addresses support speeds up to 1MHz.

· A heater is integrated to dissipate condensation and moisture.

· Variants include HDC3020 (open cavity), HDC3021 (removable protective tape), and HDC3022 (permanent IP67 filter membrane).

· RH sensor: 0% to 100% operating range, ±0.5% accuracy, 0.19%RH/yr long-term drift, condensation protection with heater.

· Temperature sensor: –40°C to 125°C operating range, ±0.1°C accuracy, ±0.03°C/yr long-term drift.

· NIST traceability for RH and temperature measurements.

· Output Short Circuit Protection.

· Low power: average current 0.4µA.

· I2C interface compatibility up to 1MHz with four selectable addresses and CRC checksum for data protection.

· Supply voltage: 1.62V to 5.50V.

· Programmable interrupts and measurement offsets.

· Factory-installed polyimide tape assembly cover and IP67 rated environmental cover.
