Overview

DESCRIPTION

· The LP2953A is a micropower voltage regulator with an adjustable output voltage range from 1.23V to 29V. It features very low quiescent current (130μA typical at 1mA load) and low dropout voltage (typically 60mV at light load and 470mV at 250mA load current), making it ideal for battery-powered systems. The device also includes current and thermal limiting, reverse battery protection, and a 50mA typical output pull-down crowbar. An auxiliary comparator with CMOS/TTL compatible output levels is included for fault detection and low input line detection. The error flag indicates when the output voltage drops out of regulation.
