DESCRIPTION

· The LT1573 is a regulator driver IC designed for high current, low dropout, and fast transient response applications.
· It supports load currents up to 5A with dropout voltages as low as 0.35V when used with an external PNP power transistor.
· The device features a time-delayed latching overcurrent protection that eliminates the need for an external current sense resistor.
· Available in adjustable (1.27V to 6.8V) and fixed output voltages (2.5V, 2.8V, 3.3V) with an output accuracy better than 1%.
· Packaged in an 8-pin, fused-lead surface mount to minimize footprint and provide adequate heat sinking.
