DESCRIPTION
· The LTC4290/LTC4271 chipset is an 8-port PSE controller for IEEE 802.3at Type 1 and Type 2 PoE systems.
· It uses transformer-isolated communication, reducing BOM costs by eliminating opto-couplers and isolated 3.3V supplies.
· Features low power dissipation, 0.25Ω sense resistors, and supports up to 90W PD power.
FEATURES
· Eight independent PSE channels compliant with IEEE 802.3at Type 1 and 2.
· Advanced power management with 12-bit current monitoring ADCs and DAC-programmable current limits.
· Proprietary 4-point PD detection for high reliability, supports 2-pair and 4-pair output power.
· 1MHz I2C serial interface, available in three power grades (A-Grade: 38.7W to 90W, B-Grade: 25.5W, C-Grade: 13W).
