DESCRIPTION

· The TPS2378 is an 8-pin integrated circuit designed for IEEE 802.3at Type-2 powered devices (PD).

· It includes a low 0.5-Ω internal switch and enhanced thermal dissipation via the PowerPAD™ package.

· Capable of continuously handling up to 0.85 A, it features a 100-V pass transistor and 140-mA inrush current limiting.

· It also provides auto-retry fault protection and an open-drain power-good output.
