DESCRIPTION

· The M74HC4514 is a high-speed CMOS 4-to-16 line decoder with latched inputs, fabricated using silicon gate C2MOS technology.

· It features a binary code stored in four input latches (A to D) that selects one of sixteen outputs to be high, while the other fifteen remain low when the inhibit input is low.

· When the inhibit input is high, all outputs are kept low, and the latch function remains available.

· Data applied to the inputs is transferred to the Q outputs of the latches when the strobe input is high, and retained when the strobe input is low.

· All inputs are protected against static discharge and transient excess voltage.
