DESCRIPTION

· The M74HC574 is a high-speed CMOS octal D-type flip-flop with 3-state outputs, fabricated using sub-micron silicon gate C2MOS technology.
· It features a clock input (CK) and an output enable input (OE) for controlling the flip-flop operations.
· On the positive transition of the clock, the Q outputs are set to the logic state at the D inputs.
· The outputs are in a normal logic state when OE is low and in a high impedance state when OE is high.
· The output control does not affect the internal flip-flop operations, allowing data retention or entry even when outputs are off.
· All inputs are protected against static discharge and transient excess voltage.



FEATURES

· High speed: fMAX = 90MHz (typical) at VCC = 6V.
· Low power dissipation: ICC = 4µA (max) at TA = 25°C.
· High noise immunity: VNIH = VNIL = 28% VCC (min).
· Symmetrical output impedance: |IOH| = IOL = 6mA (min).
· Balanced propagation delays: tPLH ≅ tPHL.
· Wide operating voltage range: VCC (OPR) = 2V to 6V.
· Pin and function compatible with 74 series 574.
