DESCRIPTION

· The MAX13487E/MAX13488E are +5V, half-duplex, ±15kV ESD-protected RS-485-compatible transceivers with one driver and one receiver.
· They feature hot-swap capability to prevent false transitions during power-up or live insertion.
· Includes Maxim’s proprietary AutoDirection control, ideal for isolated RS-485 ports.
· MAX13487E has reduced slew-rate drivers for up to 500kbps, while MAX13488E supports up to 16Mbps.
· 1/4-unit load receiver input impedance allows up to 128 transceivers on the bus.
· Operates over -40°C to +85°C temperature range in an 8-pin SO package.
