DESCRIPTION

· The MAX14830 is a quad universal asynchronous receiver-transmitter (UART) with 128-word FIFOs for each UART.

· It features a high-speed SPI or I2C controller interface and a PLL with fractional baud-rate generators for flexible baud-rate programming.

· Logic-level translation on interfaces allows easy connection to microcontrollers, FPGAs, and transceivers with different supply voltages.

· It supports SPI-based triggering for synchronized UART transmission and includes on-board timers for delay programming and GPIO clock generation.

· The device is available in a 48-pin TQFN package and operates from -40°C to +85°C.

FEATURES
