DESCRIPTION

· The MAX4820/MAX4821 are 8-channel relay drivers with built-in kickback protection, designed to drive +3.3V/+5V non-latching or dual-coil-latching relays, especially suitable for +3V relays.

· Each open-drain output has a 2Ω on-resistance and can sink a minimum of 70mA load current.

· The devices consume less than 50µA quiescent current and have 1µA output off-leakage current.

· The MAX4820 features an SPI-/QSPI-/MICROWIRE-compatible serial interface, while the MAX4821 has a 4-bit parallel-input interface.

· Both devices include separate set and reset functions for simultaneous control of all outputs and are available in 20-pin TSSOP and Thin QFN packages.
