DESCRIPTION

· The MAX4822–MAX4825 are 8-channel relay drivers with built-in kickback protection, designed to drive +3V/+5V non-latching or dual-coil-latching relays.

· Each open-drain output has a 2.7 Ω (typ) on-resistance and can sink a minimum of 70mA load current.

· These devices consume less than 300µA (max) quiescent current and have 1µA output off-leakage current.

· The MAX4822/MAX4824 feature a power-save mode to reduce relay current after activation, maintaining relay hold while minimizing power consumption.

· The MAX4822/MAX4823 offer a 10MHz SPI-/QSPI-/MICROWIRE-compatible serial interface, while the MAX4824/MAX4825 provide a 4-bit parallel-input interface.

· Separate set and reset functions allow simultaneous control of all outputs.

· Available in a 4mm x 4mm, 20-pin thin QFN package, operating over the -40°C to +85°C temperature range.
