Overview

DESCRIPTION

· The MAX7382 silicon oscillator serves as a clock source for microcontrollers in 3V, 3.3V, and 5V applications.

· It replaces ceramic resonators, crystals, and crystal-oscillator modules.

· Features include a factory-programmed oscillator, a microprocessor power-on-reset (POR) supervisor, and a clock enable input.

· Resistant to vibration and EMI, with high-output-drive current and no high-impedance nodes.

· Suitable for demanding environments such as home appliances and automotive applications.

· Available in a 5-pin SOT23 package with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.



FEATURES

· Operates from 2.7V to 5.5V.

· Oscillator frequency ranges from 10MHz to 16MHz.

· Integrated POR with factory-programmable settings.

· Clock output drive capability of ±10mA.

· Clock enable input for control.

· Initial accuracy of 2.5% and frequency drift of ±100ppm/°C.

· 50% duty cycle with 5ns output rise and fall time.

· Typical operating current of 4.5mA at 16MHz and shutdown supply current of 0.5µA.
