DESCRIPTION

· The MC10EP16/MC100EP16 is a high-performance differential receiver/driver, functionally equivalent to the EL16 and LVEL16 but with enhanced capabilities.

· It features significantly faster output transition times, making it ideal for interfacing with high-frequency sources.

· The device includes a VBB pin for internal voltage supply, used as a reference for single-ended inputs or to rebias AC coupled inputs.

· Inputs open or at VEE will force the Q output LOW, with internal input clamps ensuring safety.

FEATURES

· Typical propagation delay of 220 ps.

· Maximum frequency typically exceeds 4 GHz.

· Operates in PECL mode with VCC from 3.0 V to 5.5 V and VEE at 0 V.

· Operates in NECL mode with VCC at 0 V and VEE from -3.0 V to -5.5 V.

· Features open input default state and safety clamps on inputs.

· Q output defaults LOW when inputs are open or at VEE.
