DESCRIPTION

· The MC10H166 is a 5-Bit Magnitude Comparator, functionally and pinout equivalent to the MECL 10K™ standard, offering a 100% improvement in propagation delay without increasing power-supply current.

· It is designed for high-speed comparison of two binary words, providing outputs for A < B and A > B, with A = B functionality achievable through wire-ORing or wire-NORing the outputs.

· A high enable input forces both outputs to a low state.

FEATURES

· Typical propagation delay from data to output is 2.0 ns.

· Typical power dissipation is 440 mW.

· Improved noise margin of 150 mV across operating voltage and temperature ranges.

· Voltage compensated and compatible with MECL 10K.
